HEBEI HUARONG PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. was founded in 1993. It mainly produces and distributes vitamin B12, mecobalamin, cobamamide and vitamin B12 feed additives. It is the only enterprise in China that can produce a full range of vitamin B12 varieties. More than 80% of its products are exported to nearly 50 countries and regions, including South and North America, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa, with a global market share of more than 40%, and the company has become a long-term supplier for a number of international pharmaceutical giants. At the same time, the company also has a high market share in China (with more than 90% share in cobamamide and more than 80% share in mecobalamin). Huarong Pharmaceutical is the first vitamin B12 manufacturer in China to obtain the EU COS certificate and the DMF registration number from the US FDA for quality management, enjoying a good reputation in the international market. The company has participated in the revision and upgrade of many varieties of pharmacopoeias and national standards for multiple times, providing working standards, samples, testing and analysis methods to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission and leading the technical standards of the industry. Among them, API cobamamide is the exclusive product in China. All domestic customers of mecobalamin preparation carry out association reviews with the company's API mecobalamin to realize the exclusive supply of API for the consistency evaluation of mecobalamin in China.

After nearly 30 years of development, the company has become a pharmaceutical manufacturer with considerable influence in the industry, and the technology R&D center it has established undertakes national science and technology support projects as well as provincial supporting science and technology projects. Specifically, the company has undertaken one national science and technology support project during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period and one provincial supporting science and technology project. The "Discovery of Oxygen Regulation and New Industrial Production Process in Aerobic Fermentation Process of Vitamin B12" won the third prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Hebei Province.  The company has also undertaken the project of "Research and Development of API Acarbose and Its Preparations", which became a supporting project of Science and Technology Plan of Hebei Province.
