Hebei CSPC Pu'en Charity Foundation
In 2015, Chairman Cai Dongchen sponsored the Hebei CSPC Pu'en Charity Foundation, the main platform for CSPC Group to engage in public welfare, actively carrying out activities in helping the sick, the poor, the needy and the elderly, as well as funding education. Through the "Morning Glory" student assistance project, the "Evening Sun" elderly assistance project, the "Light Spring Rain" public welfare project, the "CSPC Family", and the "Red Sun" hematology & oncology aid project, CSPC have been commiteed in making contributions to society. Over the past six years, CSPC's charity donations have reached a total of RMB 1.5 billion.
Help the Needy - Fight the Pandemic Together
Since the pandemic outbreak in 2020, while securing supply, CSPC Group has been providing targeted support to the hardest-hit areas such as Wuhan and Shijiazhuang, donating Guiwei C vitamin C tablets and urgently-needed Abidor tablets to the medical staff fighting on the front line.
Care for the Sick - Donate for Major Diseases
As the population ages and the environment changes, cancer has now become the number one cause of death in China, and the burden of cancer incidence and death is rapidly increasing.
Relying on its R&D and product advantages, CSPC cooperates with public welfare projects to donate drugs to cancer patients in need in the field of lung cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer and other major clinical tumour types to reduce patients' financial burden.
Cultivate Talents - Support Industry Development
CSPC strongly supports basic scientific research and talent cultivation. It has been working with universities and institutions such as Peking University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and Zhejiang University to set up scholarships and fellowships to encourage and support the cultivation of pharmacy talents. It also participates in public welfare activities organized by the governments, associations and other platforms to contribute to promoting the industry development.
